Hello Craft Lovers!!

This is Jaya Poojitha from Pooji’s Opus.

Today, I am here as Guest Designer sharing a photo tutorial of this Floating Pop Up Card.

Pop up cards are a great twist on ordinary cards. They are more interactive and encourage the person to hold onto it for a while longer than the ordinary cards.

Here's a quick video of how the card will 'pop'

Let’s start creating our card.

Step 1: Take a cardstock of size 28 * 14cm and score at 7cm and 21cm along 28cm side

Step 2: Cut two pieces of cardstock of size 16 * 3cm and score at 2cm, 5cm and 13cm

Step 3: Cut pattern papers and adhere on the front and inside of the card. Add adhesive to the 3cm fold on one strip and adhere to the inside of the gate (see picture)

Step 4: Now fold along the 5cm scored line and add glue on the final section.

Step 5: Close the gate and the glued section should adhere to the inside of the card so that you have a floating base. Repeat the steps with the other strip of cardstock on the bottom of the card.

Step 6: Cut two pieces of pattern paper of size 6.5 * 6.5cm and adhere them on the two floating pop ups leaving equal gaps all the way around the edges.

Step 7: Embellish the front side of the card using 3D stickers
