Hello everyone,

You all must be aware of the fact that there are many different techniques in scrapbooking whether it’s related to the layouts, binding or making interactive pages. Although it’s considered time consuming but in the end it’s always worth it. Today, I have made a scrapbook using mixed media techniques.

For this project, I have used the beautiful Wood Works paper pad by Scrappy Tales from CraftGully. I found it perfect for this scrapbook because it has very natural wooden surface prints  which are so appealing. In addition to it, I have used the snowflakes stencil and Creative Genie texture paste

You can see in the image below, how the texture paste looks when once dry. I really love the grungy and raised-up look.

On this, I splattered three different chalk paints by Creative Genie : Daffodils, Summer Sky and Bonfire. These chalk paints not only gave an interesting touch to the background but also enhanced the overall beauty of the scrapbook.

For an aged look, I distressed the edges of all the pattern papers using scissors and also inked the same using dye ink.

A lot of layering has been done on every page using scrap pieces of paper, sisal fibre, die cuts, paper doily, laser cut outs and flowers.

Also, tags can be used as journaling spots to write down messages. Pages comprise of pockets, belly bands, accordion fold, flaps and interactive elements using brads.

The base of this scrapbook is made using A4 size black card stock from CraftGully. I love the smooth finish of this card stock and so scoring it was very easy.

The album measures 6.75 inches by 6.75 inches with a spine of 3.5 inches. It has 6 pages with 14 sides and can easily accommodate 50 pictures.
